Biography

With more than 40 years of clinical experience, Dr. Charles Barrier has guided thousands of western North Carolina patients through the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of digestive disease. He earned his medical degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine and completed an internal-medicine residency followed by a gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Medical Center.

At Western Carolina Digestive Consultants, Dr. Barrier provides patient-centered gastrointestinal care and endoscopic procedures.
