New Patient vs. Established Patient
New Patient: If you’ve never visited Western Carolina Digestive Consultants, or it’s been more than three years since your last appointment, you’ll be considered a new patient. A referral from your primary‑care provider is required for all new patients. We’ll need you to complete our full intake forms and provide updated insurance details before we can schedule your visit.
Established Patient: Anyone seen in our clinic or endoscopy center within the past three years is an established patient. We already have your chart, so you’ll only need to review and update your contact or insurance information as needed when you book an appointment.
Referrals
Weather Policy
We waive all fees for appointments cancelled or missed due to inclement weather.
Late Arrival / No Show Policy
Patients who arrive 15 minutes or more after their scheduled time will need to reschedule. These late arrivals are recorded as no‑shows and are subject to a $50 fee.
Telehealth
We are unable to offer telehealth appointments at this time because current insurance guidelines require in‑person visits.
